As a Corporate Dining Captain with JPMorgan Chase, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the food and beverage operations within the company’s dining amenities. This position requires an exceptional leader with a strong knowledge of food and beverage service and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. As the dining captain, you will be responsible for successful shift supervision, managing dining staff, ensuring seamless and high-quality service, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both guests and employees.

Your role will be integral to maintaining the company’s high standards, including compliance with sanitation guidelines as dictated by the NYC Health Department. You will monitor food safety practices, oversee food storage and handling, and ensure all service aspects, including dining rooms, private dining rooms, and pantries, meet organizational quality and presentation standards. Your leadership will promote teamwork and a positive work environment within the Client Centers. You will develop strong relationships with guests and key users, consistently meeting their expectations and enhancing their dining experience.

The role demands that you actively participate in daily service operations to guarantee best-in-class client experience. Handling guest complaints and resolving issues effectively will be part of your responsibilities, escalating matters to management when necessary. With a process improvement mindset, you will be expected to seek ways to enhance dining service operations continually.

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including late nights, holidays, and long shifts, standing for 10 to 12 hours at a time and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Experience in fine dining or luxury hotel settings with high-volume, full-service dining is crucial to success in this role. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fine dining or luxury hotel environments
  • Proven experience in high-volume, full-service dining operations
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including late nights, holidays, and long shifts
  • Physical capability to stand for 10 to 12 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Experience with POS systems and reporting
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate and promote JPMC's culture, always positively representing the company
  • Oversee all aspects of service, including those in the dining room, private dining rooms, and pantries
  • Ensure the highest levels of organization are always maintained, without exception
  • Uphold all standards of the JPMC Client Dining service, appearance, and conduct, always promoting positive public and employee relations
  • Promote teamwork within the Client Centers, creating a positive work environment
  • Ensure sanitation compliance with NYC Health Department Code throughout the Client Center
  • Monitor food storage, handling, and preparation processes to maintain food safety standards
  • Develop relationships with guests and key users

  • Actively participate in service to ensure quality standards are met to offer best in class client experience
  • Effectively resolve guest complaints and issues, escalating to managers when necessary
