Job Description

Blue Shock Executive Search, established in 2003, is a distinguished executive search firm specializing in recruiting top-tier candidates for the restaurant, hospitality, and food service industries across Canada and the United States. Over the years, Blue Shock has built a reputation for excellence by forging powerful connections between exceptional talent and leading employers, ensuring both parties find the perfect match for long-term success. The team at Blue Shock acts as dedicated career architects, offering personalized support and guidance to help professionals find opportunities that align with their skills, aspirations, and career goals. Their passion lies in propelling careers forward, transforming job placements into fulfilling, growth-oriented journeys and success stories.

Our client, a renowned premium casual dining restaurant with over 30 years of experience and 58 locations across Canada and the USA, has become a beloved destination for patrons who appreciate meticulously crafted dishes, distinctive cocktails, and exceptional hospitality. The culinary experience at their establishments is led by an Executive Chef who curates an artistically crafted menu featuring globally inspired flavors and fresh, high-quality ingredients. The warm and inviting ambiance combined with the dedicated kitchen and front-of-house teams ensures each dining experience is memorable and the highlight of every guest's day.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced Chefs to join our client’s culinary leadership team. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for hands-on culinary professionals who thrive in structured, systems-driven environments and have proven experience working with national restaurant brands. The role centers on not only maintaining operational consistency, recipe execution, and brand standards but also optimizing food costs, inventory control, and kitchen efficiency.

As the Head Chef, you will lead, coach, and develop a large culinary team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous growth. You will be instrumental in talent development, succession planning, and maintaining high engagement within the back-of-house team. The ideal candidate brings established leadership skills, a passion for delivering the highest level of food quality, and the ability to motivate and inspire their team. Successful execution in this role means delivering exceptional food consistently, managing pressures inherent in a fast-paced environment, and driving operational excellence.

This role presents an opportunity to grow with an expanding premium casual dining company and make meaningful contributions to both team development and guest satisfaction. The company prioritizes career growth and development, offering unique opportunities to work with senior leaders and participate in leadership conferences. As part of the compensation package, the role offers a competitive salary of $100,000 annually, along with a performance-based bonus of 10% of the salary paid monthly. Benefits include a flexible schedule, employee discounts, and comprehensive health and medical insurance.

Join us and be part of a passionate team dedicated to culinary excellence and outstanding hospitality, where your leadership will shape not only the quality of our food but also the future leaders within our kitchens. Together, we will create extraordinary dining experiences and advance your career in a thriving and supportive environment.
