Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • significant professional culinary experience
  • proficiency in kitchen management and operations
  • knowledge of inventory control and cost management
  • ability to manage and motivate a team
  • compliance with health and safety standards
  • availability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or a similar role
  • strong leadership skills
  • knowledge of culinary techniques and standards
  • ability to innovate and implement new methods

  • experience in staff training and development
  • understanding of health and safety regulations
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours

Job Duties

  • Manages culinary operations to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • promotes service distinctiveness and efficient resource utilization through planning, scheduling, ordering and inventory control
  • develops and implements new methods, techniques, procedures and technologies for higher technical competence and cost efficiencies
  • identifies and recommends needed capital improvements
  • maintains a competent and motivated staff by implementing selection, training, development and retention programs
  • establishes performance standards and initiates corrective action to resolve performance problems and conflicts
  • ensures compliance with health and safety standards to minimize accidents
  • complies with Company Standards of Service for AURO Hotels
  • projects a favorable image of AURO Hotels to the public
  • performs duties timely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • treats guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect
  • maintains a clean and neat appearance
  • works flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
