Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent training
- 8 to 10 plus years of progressive kitchen leadership experience
- Recent experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine
- Experience in high-volume, chef-driven restaurant environments
- Ability to work full-time with flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Fluent in English and Spanish
Job Qualifications
- 8 to 10 plus years of progressive kitchen leadership experience
- Recent experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine
- Background in high-volume, chef-driven restaurants with Italian, Mediterranean, or fine-casual influences
- Experience in turnaround or growth-stage restaurant environments preferred
- Track record of building strong teams and coaching for performance
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Hands-on, organized, and detail-oriented approach
- Culinary degree or equivalent training is a plus
Job Duties
- Rebuild and lead the kitchen team by recruiting, training, and inspiring a motivated, cohesive team
- Redefine culinary identity by leading a full menu evolution based on regional Italian traditions and modern techniques
- Implement systems and standards including prep sheets, recipe cards, portion controls, inventory management, cleaning schedules, and daily logs
- Manage food and labor performance by owning food cost, labor efficiency, and vendor relationships, analyzing reports and addressing variances
- Maintain operational excellence ensuring food safety, cleanliness, kitchen organization, and health code compliance
- Lead daily preps, service, and kitchen meetings
- Partner with GM and leadership to align culinary direction with business goals
