Job Description
McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality (MML) is a distinguished leader in the hospitality industry, devoted to creating some of the world’s most memorable and refined dining and lodging experiences. Founded by Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert, MML is celebrated for its character-driven approach to hospitality concepts that marry exceptional cuisine, inspired design, impeccable service, and authentic storytelling. The company’s portfolio spans iconic properties across major destinations including Austin, Aspen, Malibu, New York, and more, reflecting a commitment to quality and a deep sense of place. Where each venue is not just a location but a cultural experience, MML embodies hospitality that is creative, inviting, and profoundly engaging.
Neighborhood Sushi, a part of the MML family, offers guests Japanese-inspired dishes in a casual yet beautiful setting located in Dallas, Texas. This re-imagined space honors the roots of Larry McGuire’s early beginnings and brings a fresh take on sushi through influences of Texas flavors, Japanese design, and Austin hospitality. The menu features fresh soups, salads, small plates, crispy seafood, vegetable tempura, classic nigiri, vegetarian specialties, and innovative rolls designed to delight a diverse palate. Situated on the second floor with mountain views, outdoor patios, and a colorful Mexican-inspired interior, Neighborhood Sushi provides an approachable and unique sushi dining experience.
The Executive Chef role at Neighborhood Sushi is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all facets of the culinary program. This executive will define and drive the kitchen’s culinary vision, infusing innovation while ensuring exceptional food quality and consistency. The position entails managing daily kitchen operations efficiently, enforcing food safety and sanitation standards, and maintaining cost controls through effective purchasing and inventory management. As a leader and mentor, the Executive Chef will recruit, train, and coach kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and professional environment. Collaboration with front-of-house leadership is essential to create seamless guest experiences that align with MML’s high standards. This full-time position demands flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts along with a physical ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Offering competitive salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package, MML Hospitality supports its team with opportunities for advancement, professional development, and community engagement. This role is a unique chance to contribute to a celebrated hospitality brand dedicated to excellence and innovation within an inspiring and welcoming atmosphere.
