The Executive Chef or Executive Kitchen Manager (EKM) at P.F. Chang's plays a critical leadership role in managing the restaurant's culinary operations to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen. This full-time salaried position, with a competitive pay range of $75,000 to $95,000 annually depending on experience, is responsible for leading the culinary team, overseeing food preparation, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role requires extensive hands-on involvement, including training and development of kitchen staff, managing costs, and maintaining operational excellence.
The Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager works directly with the restaurant Operating Partner or General Manager. Key responsibilities include hiring, orienting, and developing sous chefs and kitchen staff, creating work schedules, preserving safety certification standards, supervising food preparation, and upholding food quality. This position demands strong leadership skills to delegate tasks efficiently, conduct performance appraisals, manage inventory and financial controls, and maintain kitchen equipment and facilities.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for periods of eight to ten hours in length each shift
- must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift. At times it might be necessary to lift up to 50 lbs
- must be able to work around various levels of temperature, including warm to very warm temperatures in the kitchen
