Job Requirements

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum three years of culinary or kitchen management experience
  • knowledge of food preparation, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • ability to manage inventory and food cost controls
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work in a high volume foodservice environment

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experienced with computers including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook, E-mail and Internet
  • extensive catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
  • train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment
  • maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
  • manage inventory of food and non-food supplies within established guidelines
  • comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
  • perform other duties as assigned
