We are currently seeking an Executive Chef to join our team, offering a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive salary range of $70,304 to $95,000. The Executive Chef will play a crucial leadership role, overseeing all kitchen operations while ensuring a safe, sanitary, and efficient work environment. This position requires a passionate, entrepreneurial culinary professional who thrives in high-volume, fast-paced settings and who can uphold the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to an A.S. degree or higher
- three to five years of culinary or kitchen management experience
- proven ability to manage high-volume and complex foodservice operations
- strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- hands-on culinary expertise
- proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office
- effective leadership and training skills
- excellent organizational and communication abilities
- ServSafe certification preferred
- ability to comply with health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- extensive catering experience a plus
- high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
- institutional and batch cooking experience
- hands-on chef experience
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and related programs
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
Job Duties
- Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
- follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards
- completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- tastes completed meals to ensure quality
- trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation
- establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
- maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies within established guidelines
- makes decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products
- complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- follows facility, department, and company safety policies and procedures
- participates in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs
