Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, food service management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years culinary experience, preferably in healthcare or large-scale food service
- Knowledge of FDA and OSHA food safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in healthcare or institutional food service is preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage kitchen operations and staff effectively
- Proficient in menu planning and recipe development
- Capability to train and mentor kitchen staff
Job Duties
- Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
- Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- Taste completed meals to ensure quality
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards
- Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
- Ensure kitchen staff follows and completes schedules as assigned
