Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 7 to 10 years of food preparation and kitchen management experience (4 years may substitute for associate degree)
- certified Food Manager from San Antonio Metropolitan Health District or ANSI Accredited Food Manager Certificate
- compliance with Tenet vaccination policies including proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
- ability to complete introductory period competencies
- willingness to perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- associate degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- 7 to 10 years of food preparation and kitchen management experience
- certified Food Manager from San Antonio Metropolitan Health District or ANSI Accredited Food Manager Certificate
- ability to manage staff effectively
- strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- excellent organizational and communication skills
Job Duties
- Coordinate, plan, and prepare food for various areas of the department
- manage kitchen staff and oversee daily operations
- purchase food and manage food cost and inventory
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- complete established competencies within designated introductory period
- maintain records and documentation related to food management
- other related duties as assigned
