The company is deeply rooted in service and driven by a strong sense of purpose to create positive impacts not only for its customers but also for its employees, partners, communities, and the environment. At Aramark, there is a commitment to equal employment opportunity, ensuring a workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. The organization fosters a culture that values professional growth and personal development, offering employees numerous opportunities to advance their careers, develop new skills, and engage in meaningful work within a supportive and inclusive environment.
The Executive Chef position at Aramark is a pivotal management role responsible for leading culinary operations by overseeing chef managers and hourly culinary staff. This role requires a visionary culinary leader who can develop and implement diverse culinary solutions tailored to meet the tastes and needs of customers and clients. The Executive Chef will ensure that all culinary activities connect seamlessly with Aramark’s Executional Framework, maintaining exceptional standards in food production, presentation, and service. A key responsibility includes applying advanced culinary techniques to food preparation while ensuring that the final product reflects the highest quality and safety standards.
In this role, the Executive Chef plays a critical part in staffing and team management by training kitchen employees to utilize best practices in food production, coaching them toward shared culinary goals, and fostering a culture of recognition and reward for achievements. They will organize and lead regular team meetings and huddles to ensure effective communication and collaboration. The Executive Chef is also tasked with maintaining accurate staff records, including training and performance data, which supports ongoing development and operational excellence.
Engagement with clients and guests forms an integral part of this role, requiring the Executive Chef to build and sustain strong relationships to drive business success. They will monitor culinary and ingredient trends regionally, ensuring that Aramark’s food offerings remain innovative and competitive. Financial performance is a significant focus, with responsibility for meeting food and labor cost targets, improving profit margins, and utilizing data to optimize inventory and ordering decisions. The Executive Chef must also ensure compliance with food safety protocols, operational policies, and environmental safety standards, maintaining Aramark’s commitment to quality and safety across all culinary operations.
The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of the entire supply chain, procurement processes, and equipment maintenance, ensuring that only authorized suppliers are used and that culinary equipment operates efficiently and safely. They will uphold Aramark’s Food Framework principles at all times and ensure accuracy in food consumption estimates to support requisitions and purchasing. This leadership role demands a versatile culinary expert capable of managing a fast-paced kitchen environment while delivering excellent dining experiences that align with the company's mission to do great things every day. The position offers an engaging work environment that encourages growth, challenges, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a global service company.
