The Executive Chef 4 position is a pivotal leadership role within Sodexo Corporate Services, specifically stationed at Foundation Medicine's corporate headquarters in Boston, MA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a sophisticated corporate dining environment that incorporates multiple food service outlets, including a contemporary employee café, a specialty coffee bar, a fitness center smoothie program, grab-and-go snack and beverage offerings, alongside high-profile catering and conference services.

As the Campus Executive Chef, you will be the driving force behind the culinary vision and daily management of all food service operations across the campus. This role demands a hands-on leader, as approximately eighty percent of the job involves working directly in the kitchen alongside a skilled culinary team. With responsibilities spanning menu design, staff leadership, financial management, and client engagement, you will spearhead the creation of innovative, fresh, and seasonal menus that delight the diverse palate of the Foundation Medicine community.

You will lead and nurture a dedicated team of 15 hourly employees, including oversight of an Executive Chef 2, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment through mentorship and coaching. A vital aspect of the role is elevating and expanding the premium catering programs to meet the sophisticated expectations of high-profile events, ensuring the delivery of unparalleled food quality, presentation, and service.

Financial stewardship is integral to this position. You will manage food and labor costs effectively to align with budgetary targets, oversee purchasing and inventory processes with precision, and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support operational efficiency and quality standards. Compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations is mandatory, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and clientele.

In addition to operational responsibilities, this role requires strong client relationship management skills, acting as a trusted culinary partner who understands and anticipates client needs. You will champion a culture of innovation, consistency, and excellence across all dining venues, continually enhancing the guest experience.
