Within this global framework, Sodexo is currently seeking an Executive Chef 3 for Cape Fear Valley Medical Center located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is a trauma level III acute care hospital boasting 733 licensed beds, including 78 rehabilitation beds, and is part of the broader Cape Fear Valley Health System. This health system is recognized as the 8th largest in the state of North Carolina, encompassing 916 patient beds overall and serving a vast six-county area in Southeastern North Carolina with over 935,000 patients annually. As a key player within this extensive network, the medical center provides advanced, patient-centered care, putting significant emphasis on quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

The Executive Chef role at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is pivotal in delivering an exceptional culinary experience that meets the unique needs of patients, staff, and visitors. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 3 years of management experience
  • minimum 3 years of relevant culinary or food service experience
  • ability to manage and train a culinary team
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • experience with inventory and food cost control systems
  • willingness to work in a healthcare environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 3 years of management experience
  • minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • strong leadership skills
  • proficiency in food safety and sanitation standards
  • experience with automated food inventory and ordering systems
  • knowledge of KRONOS workforce management system preferred
