This Executive Campus Chef 2 role at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing the entirety of the resident dining experience. The Executive Campus Chef is charged with overseeing menu planning, ensuring compliance with culinary standards, and supervising all aspects of food production including purchasing and inventory management. The position requires a candidate who can deliver high-quality culinary experiences while maintaining stringent food safety and sanitation standards. Additionally, the role involves coaching, training, and developing kitchen and culinary teams to foster creativity, innovation, and operational excellence. Job Requirements

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years of management experience
  • minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Job Duties

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
