Job Requirements

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • two years of management experience
  • two years of relevant work experience in food or culinary services
  • proficiency with food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • excellent communication skills
  • flexibility to take on additional responsibilities
  • working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems and Market Connections
  • computer proficiency
  • report management experience

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • two years of management experience
  • two years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts or similar environments
  • experience leading and engaging a culinary team
  • strong human resource and supervisory/management skills
  • menu planning experience
  • knowledge of current culinary trends
  • effective communication skills
  • understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts

Job Duties

  • have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product
  • has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience
  • develop strategic food service plans aligned with hospital mission and values
  • supervise and engage culinary team to enhance staff and patient experience
