Job Requirements

  • Large scale college/university culinary experience
  • Strong culinary background with catering and banquet expertise
  • Emphasis on food presentation, quality, execution, and menu design
  • Customer service excellence
  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership, supervision, and training
  • Focus on food and physical safety and sanitation
  • Experience managing food and labor cost controls
  • Understanding of food allergens and special dietary needs
  • Strong understanding of financials and analytical skills
  • ServSafe certification
  • Culinary degree preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in culinary or food service
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts
  • Strong culinary background with experience in catering and banquets
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, direct, and train diverse teams
  • Demonstrated focus on food quality, presentation, and customer service excellence
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergen management
  • Strong understanding of financial management and analytical skills
  • ServSafe certification and culinary degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Follow culinary trends and innovate using local sustainable food sources
  • Translate ideas into unique menu and recipe programs
  • Manage and communicate effectively with culinary staff, catering staff, and management teams
  • Demonstrate a wide variety of cooking techniques and skills for training purposes
  • Manage food costs, labor, and controllable expenses to meet financial goals
  • Lead day-to-day kitchen operations with a hands-on approach
  • Ensure high standards of food safety, quality, and plate presentation
