Job Requirements
- Large scale college/university culinary experience
- Strong culinary background with catering and banquet expertise
- Emphasis on food presentation, quality, execution, and menu design
- Customer service excellence
- Demonstrated experience providing leadership, supervision, and training
- Focus on food and physical safety and sanitation
- Experience managing food and labor cost controls
- Understanding of food allergens and special dietary needs
- Strong understanding of financials and analytical skills
- ServSafe certification
- Culinary degree preferred
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience in culinary or food service
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts
- Strong culinary background with experience in catering and banquets
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, direct, and train diverse teams
- Demonstrated focus on food quality, presentation, and customer service excellence
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergen management
- Strong understanding of financial management and analytical skills
- ServSafe certification and culinary degree preferred
Job Duties
- Follow culinary trends and innovate using local sustainable food sources
- Translate ideas into unique menu and recipe programs
- Manage and communicate effectively with culinary staff, catering staff, and management teams
- Demonstrate a wide variety of cooking techniques and skills for training purposes
- Manage food costs, labor, and controllable expenses to meet financial goals
- Lead day-to-day kitchen operations with a hands-on approach
- Ensure high standards of food safety, quality, and plate presentation
