Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • Strong culinary background with catering and banquet experience
  • Ability to lead and train a diverse team
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Experience managing food and labor costs
  • Understanding of food allergens and special dietary needs
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • ServSafe Certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of food or culinary services experience including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services
  • Strong culinary background with catering and banquet experience
  • Emphasis on food presentation, quality, execution, menu design, and implementation
  • Experience providing leadership and training to a diverse team
  • Knowledge of food and physical safety and sanitation
  • Experience managing food and labor cost controls
  • Understanding of food allergens and special dietary needs
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • ServSafe Certification and culinary degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Follow culinary trends and innovate using local sustainable food sources
  • Translate ideas into unique menu and recipe programs
  • Manage and communicate effectively with culinary staff, key personnel, catering staff, and management
  • Be highly engaged and hands-on in day-to-day operations
  • Articulate and demonstrate a variety of cooking techniques and skills
  • Manage food costs, labor, and controllable expenses
  • Train catering staff on plate presentation, quality, safety, and culinary techniques
