The role of Resource Executive Chef 2 at Sodexo Corporate Services is a dynamic and integral position within the company’s dining operations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Upstate New York, primarily focused on accounts located throughout Fairfield County, CT. This temporary resource role offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals to contribute their expertise across a variety of food environments including cafes, micro-markets, and catering operations. Resource Executive Chefs support accounts by filling in for managers who may be on vacation, sick leave, worker’s compensation, family and medical leave, or extended leave of absence. They also assist during new account openings, account closures, and large catering events, providing critical leadership and culinary direction.

This position demands a hands-on approach, as approximately 80% of the Executive Chef’s time is spent actively engaged in cooking and culinary preparation. The Resource Executive Chef 2 is responsible for menu planning, ordering, inventory management, and leading and training hourly culinary staff. These chefs ensure that high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are upheld consistently across all assigned locations. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential, as the Resource Executive Chef must motivate teams, oversee catering production, and maintain customer satisfaction at a high level.

With a predominantly Monday through Friday schedule, the role occasionally requires working evenings and weekends to support operational needs or special events. Sodexo provides mileage reimbursement and parking where necessary to facilitate easy access to the various work sites. This position also offers the possibility of transitioning to a permanent placement within Sodexo’s growing team.
