The position of Executive Chef at StoryPoint Collierville is a vital role responsible for the overall management and success of the culinary and dining departments within the community. This role oversees a range of responsibilities including retail sales, special event planning, food costs, and inventory control, safety, and sanitation while ensuring excellent satisfaction levels among residents, customers, and employees. The Executive Chef is expected to lead by example, inspire the culinary team, and maintain high-quality food standards that meet the upscale dining expectations of the community. This full-time position demands a seasoned professional with proven leadership abilities, strong organizational skills, and a passion for delivering excellent culinary experiences. The Executive Chef is also responsible for menu development, pricing strategies, and financial management related to culinary labor, food, and small-ware costs. With a strong emphasis on resident satisfaction, the Executive Chef regularly circulates dining rooms to gather feedback and improve service delivery. Furthermore, this role includes managing special catering events and acting as a Manager on Duty with site leadership responsibilities. This position requires standing for prolonged periods, effective communication skills, occasional lifting, and the capability to handle a dynamic work environment with moderate noise levels. - Minimum four years of industry and culinary management experience
- Upscale dining experience
- Proven leadership abilities and strong organization skills
- Previous experience with menu development and pricing

Job Duties
- Achieve 100% resident satisfaction through plate presentation and taste
- Circulate dining rooms at meal times daily for resident feedback
- Establish presentation techniques and ensure quality standards
- Hire, coach, train, inspire and direct culinary staff
- Maintain proper scheduling and employee reviews
- Develop Sous Chef and Lead Cook to take on additional leadership and management duties
- Manage food control, labor costs, menu engineering, recipe creation and standardization
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and safety and sanitation policy compliance
- Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction or demonstrations
- Maintain a positive attitude to support a team environment
- Promote positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
- Function as Manager on Duty as scheduled with site leadership team
