The Executive Chef role at Falcon's Fire Golf Club is a full-time, exempt position reporting directly to the General Manager. This role is a pinnacle culinary leadership opportunity, inviting an experienced culinary professional to plan, coordinate, execute, and supervise the preparation and cooking of food within the club's kitchen operations. The Executive Chef ensures all food preparation meets economic standards, technical accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. This leadership position is responsible not only for food quality and service but also for comprehensive cost control, staff management, and adherence to financial and regulatory guidelines as per the annual operating budget.
Responsibilities extend to managing kitchen personnel, scheduling, payroll oversight, conducting staff recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and performance management, including enforcement of safety standards and disciplinary actions when necessary. The Executive Chef also plays a crucial role in menu planning, recipe standardization, ingredient procurement, inventory control, and maintaining compliance with health department codes and legal requirements.
The candidate will engage closely with the Food & Beverage Director/Manager to evaluate daily operations, improve service quality, and interact proactively with members and guests to ensure exceptional dining experiences. The role demands dynamic leadership to manage multiple food & beverage outlets effectively while protecting club assets and sustaining operational integrity. The Executive Chef must maintain current food managers certification and adhere rigorously to safety protocols including proper use of equipment and adherence to mandated maintenance and safety procedures.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in a senior culinary leadership position
- Proven ability to manage kitchen staff effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and certifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work long hours on feet and perform physical tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
- Compliance with safety procedures and use of kitchen equipment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required
- Valid Food Manager's Certificate
- Experience with budget management and cost controls

Job Duties
- Monitor weekly team schedules and submit them to the General Manager
- Keep accurate payroll records and control employee costs
- Recruit, interview, screen, hire, orient, train, and evaluate kitchen staff
- Document performance during probation and annual reviews
- Implement progressive discipline and termination following HR approval
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets within financial boundaries
- Establish and enforce safety programs and monitor compliance
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Approve invoices using accounting software for timely payment
- Maintain Food & Beverage manual with service standards and health codes
- Supervise kitchen staff in adherence to Food & Beverage manual guidelines
- Plan meals and menus considering Food & Beverage department activity
- Standardize food recipes and beverage preparation for consistent quality
- Inspect food and supplies upon delivery for quality and accuracy
- Communicate daily with Food & Beverage Director/Manager on performance
- Engage with members and guests through front of house visits
- Manage multiple food & beverage outlets efficiently
- Support strategic partnership programs to maximize savings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas
- Complete opening and closing checklists
- Prepare and submit employee schedules and payroll summaries
- Adjust schedules to maximize efficiency
- Assist in preparing and adhering to Food & Beverage operational budget
- Attend weekly department head and periodic employee meetings
- Oversee daily financial activities, ordering, stock levels, and inventory
- Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure safety and presentation
