Their commitment to student well-being, community engagement, and personalized service distinguishes them in the education dining segment. Operating within the broader Elior North America group, the brand benefits from a reputation for excellence, diversity, and a supportive work environment that fosters professional development and career advancement opportunities. Elior North America is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity and inclusion, encouraging applicants from diverse backgrounds and ensuring equitable employment practices without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.

The role of Executive Chef within the Elior Collegiate Dining team offers a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Winston Salem, North Carolina, at Carolina University. This role is ideal for a highly experienced and motivated culinary professional who thrives in a dynamic, education-oriented environment. As Executive Chef, the individual will be entrusted with overseeing the complete food production process, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency. This position is critical to delivering delicious, healthy meals that meet stringent standards for nutrition and taste while supporting Elior’s mission to enhance the student dining experience.

Key responsibilities include supervising food preparation, managing purchasing and specification guidelines, and maintaining exemplary sanitation and safety practices. The Executive Chef will also develop standardized recipes and utilize production tools that ensure cost control and consistent quality across all meal services. Additionally, the role involves active participation in the planning and execution of special events, requiring creativity and collaboration with other departments. Proficiency in Microsoft software and budget statement management is essential to this role, supporting the chef in administrative and financial duties.

Candidates should possess at least three years of progressive culinary experience, with a preference for those holding an associate’s degree in culinary arts. This role demands a balance of culinary expertise, leadership, and operational management skills suitable for a fast-paced collegiate dining environment. Elior Independent School Dining supports its employees with an extensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, voluntary insurance options, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, retirement plans, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off, promoting a healthy work-life balance and professional growth.

Joining Elior offers a unique chance to be part of a company that prioritizes innovation in school dining, nurturing student success, and provides its team members with opportunities to grow within a reputable, mission-driven organization.
