The Executive Chef position at Bon Appetit Management Company offers a competitive salary range of 85,000 to 90,000. This role is critical in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the preparation of meals adheres to corporate programs and guidelines. The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning regular and modified menus, training kitchen staff on food preparation and safety, maintaining cleaning schedules, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and sanitation regulations. This leadership position demands a thorough understanding of culinary trends, quality control, food cost management, and kitchen sanitation. The Executive Chef must lead the team with a strong focus on food quality, safety, and operational efficiency, aligning with Bon Appetit's commitment to innovative and high-standard food service. Job Requirements

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends with emphasis on quality and sanitation
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Internet skills
  • Ability to manage high volume and complex foodservice operations
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Ability to comply with health and safety regulations while supervising kitchen operations

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experienced with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • Extensive catering experience a plus
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards
  • Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
  • Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
