The Executive Chef will lead a multi-faceted culinary operation that serves over 500 daily diners and manages large-scale catering events that can accommodate up to 1,200 guests. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts hospitality management or related field preferred
- minimum of 5 years' experience in executive culinary leadership roles preferably in high-volume or multi-unit settings
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent
- strong understanding of food safety workplace safety and sanitation standards
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- demonstrated ability to manage large-scale events and catering operations
- proficiency in financial management and reporting
- commitment to sustainability and local sourcing practices
- leadership capability to foster team engagement and development
- knowledge of relevant local regional and institutional food service regulations
- ability to maintain high health inspection scores
Job Qualifications
- Proven culinary expertise in high-volume food production catering operations and menu engineering
- strong financial management skills including budgeting forecasting and multi-unit P&L oversight
- proficiency with reporting and productivity tools for tracking food cost labor cost and operational metrics
- working knowledge of Google Workspace for communication reporting and planning
- understanding of modern culinary trends sustainability practices and large-scale institutional food service operations
- experience with inventory systems cost control systems and operational analytics platforms
- leadership experience in managing kitchen teams and mentoring staff
Job Duties
- Direct daily operations across residential dining and high-volume catering services including large-scale events
- design and implement seasonal rotating menus that support local sourcing and sustainability initiatives
- lead culinary innovation and support campus-wide food strategy including recipe development and trend integration
- manage multi-unit financial performance including P&L responsibility food and labor cost control inventory management and budget compliance
- oversee quality assurance across all units to ensure consistent food quality presentation and guest experience
