Job Description

Danbury Senior Living is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing quality care and a warm, family-like atmosphere for its residents. With a strong commitment to fostering a supportive environment where employees and residents alike feel valued and connected, Danbury stands out as a leading provider in the senior living industry. The organization emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and the joy of shared experiences, creating an environment where employees don’t just work — they become an integral part of a caring family unit. This unique culture ensures that residents receive the highest level of attention and care, reflecting the company’s belief that when employees feel special, so too do the residents. Danbury’s approach to senior living blends exceptional service standards with a heartfelt commitment to well-being and community engagement, making it a sought-after workplace for professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference.

Currently, Danbury is seeking a dedicated and skilled Executive Chef to join their team and lead the operations within their Dining Services department. As an Executive Chef at Danbury, you will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, developing, inspiring, and directing the entire restaurant and dining service operations to ensure that delicious, high-quality, and nutritionally sound meals are consistently provided to the residents. You will be instrumental in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation within the kitchen and dining areas, setting the standards for food presentation, and creating decorative food displays that enhance the dining experience. This role requires a talented leader who can standardize operational methods, assist in the planning of regular and special diet menus based on medical prescriptions, and ensure that the necessary food supplies are always available for meal preparation. Administrative duties such as completing reports, evaluations, and studies fall under your purview, as well as coordinating dining services with other departments to maintain seamless operations.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the Executive Chef will develop and maintain constructive working relationships with all community staff members to support the delivery of dining services that meet the needs and preferences of residents. Maintaining adherence to established policies and procedures, delegating responsibilities appropriately, and managing production lines for timely meal preparation are key elements of the role. This position offers an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about fine dining and eager to make a positive impact in a senior living environment. Danbury values employees who exhibit professionalism, a positive outlook, and a team-oriented mindset. Full-time employment is available, offering a competitive salary along with comprehensive benefits tailored to support the well-being and growth of its employees. This role is ideal for those who possess a culinary degree and extensive experience in dining service management within healthcare, senior living, or similar industries, who also bring expertise in cost control, food management, and diet therapy. Joining Danbury means becoming part of a community that appreciates your talents and encourages your professional development while delivering outstanding service to its residents.
