Job Description
Rooted Hospitality Group (RHG) is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to creating a brighter world by enriching people’s lives through genuine hospitality, exceptional products, and servant leadership. With a strong commitment to excellence and growth, RHG focuses on building a supportive culture that does not just prioritize outstanding culinary experiences but also fosters innovation, personal development, and operational excellence across all levels of the organization. This dynamic company is constantly evolving and growing, seeking like-minded, talented, and integrity-driven individuals to join its journey and contribute meaningfully to community and industry standards.
As an Executive Chef with Rooted Hospitality Group, you will be at the forefront of kitchen leadership and culinary innovation. This is a high-responsibility role that demands a blend of creativity, operational management, and team development skills. Beyond preparing exceptional dishes, this role requires a deep understanding of business operations, market trends, and financial performance. You will be expected to stay current with industry trends and maintain strong relationships with purveyors to ensure the highest quality ingredients are within reach. As a leader, you will benchmark your operations against top local competitors to uphold a standard of excellence that RHG is known for.
The Executive Chef will master sanitation standards and compliance regulations, including OSHA logs, temperature logs, ServSafe certifications, and health department requirements, ensuring the kitchen maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment. This role emphasizes continuous learning and growth opportunities, both personally and for your team. You'll lead the kitchen staff by example, focusing on training, accountability, and fostering a positive work culture rooted in empowerment, confidence, and friendliness.
Financial acumen is critical in this position. You will monitor daily profit-tracking tools, analyze budget versus actual performance, and make strategic decisions to enhance efficiency and productivity. Cultivating a kitchen culture that challenges the status quo and embraces change aligns with RHG's values of excellence and accountability.
Rooted Hospitality Group offers an attractive suite of benefits including steady year-round employment, growth opportunities, comprehensive health insurance (including dental and vision), a 401K matching program, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, paid time and sick leave, discounted meals, training and development programs, and employee fitness activities. These benefits are designed to support your well-being and professional advancement throughout your career at RHG.
This is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to lead a culinary team in a fast-paced environment where passion meets purpose. RHG values experienced restaurant managers who demonstrate a team-first attitude, resilience in busy settings, and a commitment to growth, both individually and organizationally. If you aspire to grow your culinary leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on your kitchen team and the customers you serve, RHG encourages you to apply and join their inclusive, equal-opportunity workforce.
