Job Description
Join an innovative hospitality group renowned for sophisticated culinary experiences and elegant events. This esteemed establishment has built a reputation for exceptional quality, blending artistry with service to create memorable dining encounters for its clientele. With a strong focus on French and Asian culinary traditions, the group crafts unique fusion menus that highlight the best of both worlds, appealing to discerning guests who appreciate creativity and authenticity in food. Known for organizing elegant events and banquets, the company thrives on delivering excellence through every detail, from presentation to flavor harmony.
This is a unique opportunity for a passionate Executive Chef to take creative ownership of a French-Asian fusion program and play a pivotal role in shaping the kitchen culture and guest experience. As the Executive Chef, you will lead a talented and diverse culinary team, driving innovation while maintaining operational excellence and profitability. Your role will not only involve the creative execution of menus but also strategic decision-making in kitchen management, inventory control, and labor budgeting. You will have the chance to express your culinary vision by designing seasonal menus that creatively combine traditional French techniques with vibrant Asian flavors and ingredients.
In addition to menu creation, the Executive Chef will oversee all culinary aspects of private events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution that meets high standards for groups ranging from intimate gatherings to large events with over 100 guests. Managing food costs, labor targets, and vendor relationships will be key responsibilities, along with maintaining rigorous standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation consistent with HACCP and safety protocols.
This leadership role requires a person with substantial professional kitchen experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position such as Executive Sous Chef or above, in a high-volume or fine-dining setting. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills in French cuisine, complemented by a deep understanding of Asian culinary traditions. A successful Executive Chef will be a mentor and motivator, fostering a positive kitchen environment and inspiring creativity and excellence among team members. Strong business acumen including proficiency in kitchen math, profit and loss management, and familiarity with inventory software is essential for driving financial success.
With a base salary starting at $120,000 plus performance bonuses tied to key metrics such as food cost, labor management, and event success, this position offers a comprehensive compensation package. Benefits include a comprehensive paid time off plan and medical health insurance. This role is ideal for a visionary chef who is ready to make a significant impact within a respected hospitality brand and grow their career in a supportive and dynamic environment. If you are passionate about innovative cuisine and leadership, this Executive Chef opportunity invites you to bring your expertise and creative talents to an elegant and thriving culinary program.
