The Executive Chef role at La Quinta Resort and Club is an exciting leadership opportunity ideal for creative and motivated culinary professionals. Job Requirements
- Minimum culinary degree or ACF certification
- Several years of experience as a professional chef in a leadership role
- Demonstrated creativity in menu development
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain budget and food cost controls
- Commitment to safety and sanitary kitchen practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Create menus which reflect seasonal availability based on the restaurant concept and develop food & beverage merchandising programs
- Analyze menus and procedures to improve profit and quality
- Stay updated with trends and make changes based on guest needs and industry trends
- Develop daily, seasonal, and special event menus to enhance guest experience
- Forecast purchases and manage food cost in line with budget
- Lead kitchen in safety, efficiency, and sanitary production
- Develop purchase specifications, set order guides, and ensure food inspection and receiving standards
- Monitor stewarding department activities and personnel
- Design training and development plans to enhance team skills
- Provide culinary demonstrations and examples of quality food and recipe standards
- Create an amenity program reflecting the hotel and its environment
- Foster a "One Team" culture empowering all employees to assist guests
- Maintain communication with General Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, and Human Resources
- Collaborate with Corporate Chef to drive programs ensuring centralization and consistency
