The Executive Chef role at Hyatt is a prestigious and highly visible position within the hotel’s leadership team. Reporting directly to the General Manager and as a member of the Executive Committee, the Executive Chef plays a critical role in shaping the culinary experience that defines the Hyatt brand. This position is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations including menu planning, food provisioning, preparation, and sanitation. The Executive Chef leads a team of culinary professionals, ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency meet Hyatt’s rigorous standards.

Job Requirements

  • Six years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience
  • previous director or executive chef-level experience preferred
  • experience in a senior culinary role for at least four years
  • proven leadership skills
  • ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • ability to coach and counsel employees
  • ability to work long hours under pressure
  • flexibility and self-motivation required

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • six years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience typically with Hyatt
  • previous Director or Executive Chef-level experience preferred
  • service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • at least four years experience in a senior culinary role
