It is part of a growing national network of communities managed by Erickson Senior Living, one of the largest and most respected senior living and health care providers in the United States. Maris Grove is dedicated to helping people live better lives by providing a vibrant lifestyle, financial stability, and focused health and well-being services for its residents and staff. The community emphasizes flexibility and work-life balance for its employees, encouraging personal and professional growth through learning opportunities and career advancement. The Executive Chef position at Maris Grove is a hospitality-driven role designed for a professional who is passionate about exceptional food, teamwork, and culinary excellence. This leadership role involves overseeing the Signature Dining Programs, which highlight from-scratch cooking and chef-inspired menus tailored to elevate the dining experience for the community's residents and patients. The Executive Chef will manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, food safety, and service are consistently achieved. Given the healthcare setting, the role requires collaboration with clinical teams to develop and implement menus that accommodate a broad spectrum of therapeutic and medically necessary diets such as low-sodium, diabetic, renal, gluten-free, low-fat, texture-modified, and liquid or low-residue diets. This position plays a key role in supporting patient wellness by creating nutritious, compliant, and appealing meals that enhance the overall patient experience.
The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing food purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation processes within budgetary guidelines, maintaining sanitation of production areas, and supervising food production staff. This includes oversight of core menu implementation and recipe management via back-of-house computer systems. Compliance with federal and state food handling regulations, including Health Department and HAACP standards, is a critical aspect of the role. The Executive Chef will also work directly with unit managers to resolve any food production, preparation, and presentation issues, ensuring the delivery of optimum food quality and presentation. Beyond kitchen management, the role involves engaging with residents through dining room visits and meetings to maintain strong relationships and gather feedback that informs culinary offerings.
This role offers a competitive annual salary starting at $80,000, commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for an annual bonus. Benefits include paid time off, paid volunteer hours in accordance with state law, 401(k) with a 3% company match for team members aged 18 and older, onsite medical centers and health visits, free access to well-being centers and wellness resources for employees and their families, education assistance, certification reimbursement, and access to over 6,000 online courses. Career growth opportunities are available as Erickson Senior Living expands into new and existing communities, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for professional development and culinary innovation.
