Job Description

Constellation is a premier dining and events brand operating across the United States, known for delivering high-quality business dining and catering experiences. Part of the esteemed Elior North America family, Constellation prides itself on creating exceptional meals designed to foster connections through food and hospitality. Their operations span various environments, including retail spaces and office buildings, making them a well-established player in the culinary and catering sector. Elior North America, the parent company, emphasizes a diverse and inclusive workplace, providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. Their commitment to employee growth and development at all levels sets them apart, highlighting a culture of continuous skill enhancement and leadership advancement within the culinary field.

The Executive Chef position at Constellation’s Culinary Group in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned culinary professional. This full-time, onsite role is situated within one of Philadelphia's most prestigious cultural venues, featuring multiple Food and Beverage (F&B) units that offer variety and dynamic culinary challenges. The executive chef will play a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the entire food production process to maintain exemplary quality standards, cost controls, and service excellence. Beyond managing daily kitchen operations, the role involves developing standardized recipes that align with business objectives, ensuring consistent delivery of mouth-watering dishes while adhering to budget constraints. Moreover, this role offers involvement in special events planning and execution, reinforcing the restaurant’s reputation for outstanding culinary experiences.

Ideal candidates for this role will bring at least six years of progressive culinary experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and expertise in food management. Proficiency with Microsoft software programs and experience handling budget statements are also essential, highlighting a well-rounded profile that combines culinary artistry with operational and financial savvy. While an associate's degree in culinary arts is a nice-to-have, real-world experience and leadership ability remain paramount. The compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, reflecting the value placed on exceptional culinary leadership within the organization.

Constellation takes pride in offering a comprehensive benefits package to its Executive Chef, including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees. Additional voluntary benefits such as UNUM offerings for accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity provide extra layers of protection. Other benefits include commuter assistance, employee assistance programs (EAP), 401(k) plans, paid time off, holiday pay for nine paid holidays, sick time, and tuition reimbursement for full-time employees. These benefits underpin Constellation’s commitment to supporting the well-being and professional growth of their team members, making this an attractive role for culinary leaders seeking to advance their careers within a high-profile and supportive environment.
