Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or related field preferred
  • minimum of 5 years experience in progressively responsible culinary leadership roles
  • flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to respond to operational needs outside regular hours
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • ability to work collaboratively as part of a management team
  • excellent problem-solving abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or in a senior culinary leadership role
  • strong knowledge of California cuisine and contemporary culinary trends
  • experience in menu development and operational management
  • excellent leadership and team management skills
  • understanding of food safety regulations and standards
  • strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • prior experience in a fine dining or Michelin-recommended restaurant preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead the culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations
  • develop and evolve the menu with a focus on California cuisine
  • manage food and beverage operations including dining room, bar, in-room dining, and private events
  • hire, mentor, and conduct performance management for kitchen staff
  • ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and safety standards
  • control budgets, monitor costs and profitability
  • collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless guest experiences
