With a commitment to delivering luxurious and compassionate services, the community offers a stimulating environment tailored to meet the needs and preferences of seniors. This esteemed community is part of Pacific Retirement Services (PRS), a leader in senior living that emphasizes a mission of empowering people to lead meaningful lives as they age, a vision of shaping a future where aging is embraced as an opportunity to thrive, and core values that include speaking up, stepping up, lifting up, and teaming up. Holladay Park Plaza prides itself on fostering respect, dignity, and the highest standards of care, ensuring residents enjoy an inspiring lifestyle supported by a team that is compassionate and dedicated.
The role of Executive Chef at Holladay Park Plaza is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operations within this upscale senior living community. This position entails managing fine dining experiences in the community's premier restaurant, an upscale casual Bistro, catering services, and the full spectrum of culinary programming. The Executive Chef plays a crucial role in shaping dining services by developing and mentoring a talented team of culinary professionals to provide exceptional food quality and service standards. With a minimum of five years’ experience in executive culinary roles, the candidate should bring strong leadership, creativity, and operational expertise to the role. The Executive Chef will champion the PRS culture and align their leadership approach with the organization's core values to promote transparency, engagement, and a genuine connection with residents.
In this role, the Executive Chef will be accountable for recipe creation, menu planning, catering execution, and healthcare cuisine management, ensuring menus meet dietary requirements while appealing to diverse tastes. The individual will implement rigorous food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and quality control measures, maintaining outstanding performance in health inspections and corporate assessments. Operationally, the Executive Chef will collaborate with leadership teams to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize staffing levels, ensuring financial sustainability and excellent service delivery. The role also involves continuous improvement initiatives by partnering with dietitians and corporate culinary leadership to innovate dining programs and integrate advancements such as the MealTracker Nutritional Software System.
Holladay Park Plaza offers a morale-driven, friendly work environment where team members are encouraged to enjoy their workday. The compensation ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience. The benefits provided are comprehensive, including 401(k) with employer match, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, discounted transportation or parking, access to fitness facilities including an indoor swimming pool, scholarship opportunities, employee appreciation programs, and early wage access through PayActiv.
This role requires a valid Food Handlers card, with ServSafe Food Safety Manager certification considered advantageous. The Executive Chef will be tasked with maintaining a visible presence during meal services, engaging directly with residents and staff to foster community and enhance dining experiences. Through leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to culinary excellence, the Executive Chef at Holladay Park Plaza will significantly contribute to the wellbeing and satisfaction of residents, advancing the community's vision of thriving in the aging process.
