Job Description
Our company is an innovative player in the San Francisco dining scene, set to introduce an elevated Middle Eastern fine dining experience. Established with a commitment to culinary excellence and cultural authenticity, this new concept aims to blend traditional Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors with contemporary dining techniques, offering guests an unforgettable gastronomic journey. We pride ourselves on combining refined cuisine with a dynamic and inclusive atmosphere, creating opportunities for growth and creativity within our team. The establishment embraces a structured operational philosophy that supports consistency and high standards of service, foundation to its anticipated success in the competitive San Francisco market.
The Executive Chef position is a pivotal leadership role responsible for sculpting the culinary vision and operational framework of our new restaurant from the ground up. With a generous base salary of $120,000 annually and additional performance-based bonuses, this is an exceptional opportunity for a driven culinary professional to imprint their expertise on a fresh, ambitious dining concept. The role demands a balance of artistry and efficiency, leveraging experience from high-volume, structured restaurant environments to deliver quality and consistency at scale. The ideal Executive Chef will lead all aspects of kitchen operations including food cost management, labor oversight, inventory control, and procurement, ensuring a sustainable and profitable culinary operation.
This role calls for a systems-oriented leader with a strong track record in developing kitchen SOPs, establishing operational discipline, and fostering team culture. More than simply managing the kitchen, the Executive Chef will be instrumental in hiring, training, and mentoring staff, cultivating an environment where accountability, professionalism, and passion for Middle Eastern cuisine are paramount. While expertise in Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cooking techniques is highly advantageous, we welcome candidates who demonstrate a well-informed enthusiasm for this culinary tradition and a keen interest in its unique ingredients and cultural context.
Our Executive Chef will thrive in both the fast-paced execution of daily culinary tasks and the strategic oversight necessary for long-term success. Leadership extends beyond culinary skills; it encompasses operational acumen and a visionary mindset to grow the restaurant’s reputation and consistently meet guest expectations. The position offers relocation assistance up to $5,000 to qualified candidates, comprehensive health insurance entirely employer-paid, and two weeks of paid time off, reflecting our dedication to employee well-being and satisfaction.
By joining us, the Executive Chef becomes a cornerstone of a restaurant poised to become a distinguished fixture in San Francisco’s vibrant food scene. This role is perfect for a culinary leader eager to build something exceptional from its inception while receiving competitive compensation and supportive benefits. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive work environment, welcoming talented professionals from all backgrounds to embark on this exciting culinary venture with us.
