Job Description
Silverstone Living is a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to supporting various communities including Hunt Community, The Huntington at Nashua, At Home by Hunt, and Webster at Rye. Known for fostering a family-like environment, Silverstone Living focuses on providing high-quality living and care, placing a strong emphasis on resident satisfaction and well-being. The Huntington at Nashua, one of its key communities, is currently offering an exceptional opportunity for a passionate and creative culinary leader to join their team as an Executive Chef. This role features a welcoming workplace culture and the chance to lead a culinary department that prides itself on serving nutritious, creative, and seasonal menus cooked from scratch. Unlike traditional chef positions that often involve late-night shifts, this Executive Chef role offers a balanced work schedule, making it an attractive option for culinary professionals seeking an engaging yet sustainable career path.
The Executive Chef at The Huntington at Nashua will play a pivotal role in designing and executing flavorful dishes that not only meet but exceed the residents’ expectations. The job calls for a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring and inspiring their culinary team to maintain the highest standards across food quality, presentation, sanitation, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing menu items that cater to special nutritional needs and organizing themed meals and special events that foster community engagement among residents. The role emphasizes a close interaction with residents, gathering their feedback to ensure a warm, welcoming dining experience that feels personal and attentive.
In addition to culinary creativity and leadership, this position involves comprehensive management responsibilities, including overseeing food production schedules, controlling food and labor costs, managing inventory, and nurturing vendor relationships. The Executive Chef will be expected to conduct routine quality assurance measures, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and promote teamwork and operational efficiency within the kitchen. This position also includes participating in monthly food committee meetings with residents to maintain open communication channels and continually improve the dining service.
Silverstone Living is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity in its workforce. By joining The Huntington at Nashua as an Executive Chef, culinary professionals can enjoy a career where innovation meets compassion, backed by strong organizational support. The organization offers generous benefits including health coverage, paid meal breaks, an employee scholarship program, recognition initiatives, and retirement savings plans with company matching. Overall, this Executive Chef position is a remarkable chance to contribute to a respected community while working in a purpose-driven and supportive culinary environment.
