Job Requirements

  • Six years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience
  • At least four years experience in a senior role in a culinary environment
  • Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively interact with diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • High energy and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work long hours and under pressure
  • Ability to maintain effective communications with corporate staff

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Six years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience, typically with Hyatt
  • Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • At least four years experience in a senior role in a culinary environment
  • Proven leadership skills
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume property
  • Effective communicator with exceptional customer service and associate relations skills
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures

Job Duties

  • Experience training food prep employees
  • Ability to instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees
  • Teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation
  • Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
  • Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
