Job Requirements
- Six years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience
- At least four years experience in a senior role in a culinary environment
- Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- Ability to effectively interact with diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- High energy and entrepreneurial spirit
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work long hours and under pressure
- Ability to maintain effective communications with corporate staff
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Six years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience, typically with Hyatt
- Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
- At least four years experience in a senior role in a culinary environment
- Proven leadership skills
- High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume property
- Effective communicator with exceptional customer service and associate relations skills
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
- Ability to maintain communications with Corporate Staff
- Ability to coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures
Job Duties
- Experience training food prep employees
- Ability to instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees
- Teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation
- Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
- Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
