Job Requirements

  • Relevant culinary degree or certification
  • minimum of 5 years experience in a professional kitchen leadership role
  • demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations and staff
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work long hours and weekends
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • commitment to maintaining high culinary standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or in a senior culinary leadership role
  • strong knowledge of menu planning and food preparation
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • ability to train and develop culinary staff
  • comprehensive knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food safety standards
  • creativity and flexibility in menu design
  • ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties

  • Experience training food prep employees
  • ability to instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees
  • teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation
  • thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
  • ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
  • coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
