Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five or more years culinary experience in hospitality
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees
- Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Position may require driving responsibilities using company or personal vehicle
- Valid driver’s license
- Must meet company motor vehicle policy standards
Job Qualifications
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and employees
- Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with company motor vehicle policies
Job Duties
- Interview, hire, train, develop, and performance manage assigned staff including scheduling hours, breaks, and meal periods
- Maintain monthly and annual budgets for the Culinary Services department including documenting spend on food, supplies, and labor
- Maintain appropriate inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and table ware
- Ensure purchasing standards are maintained and positive vendor relationships are upheld
- Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to company standards and legal requirements
- Meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction levels
- Work with staff to provide high levels of customer service and coordinate front and back of house operations
- Collaborate with community leadership to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey levels
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and reports as required
- Maintain employee satisfaction and engagement scores meeting company standards
- Delegate tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality of kitchen and dining areas
- Conduct and participate in department meetings, in-services, and pre-meal stand ups
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Assist in planning and execution of special events and banquets
- Work with sales and community staff to market the community
- Ensure staff understand company expectations and first impression requirements
- Act as manager on duty as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
