Job Duties
- Manage all culinary department operations including menu concepting and design
- Ensure quality preparation and proper handling/storage of all food items according to standards
- Interview, hire, train, and evaluate culinary associates fostering continuous improvement
- Establish daily priorities and assign production and preparation tasks
- Ensure kitchen areas are stocked with necessary tools, supplies, and equipment
- Review banquet event orders and requisition supplies ensuring product quality
- Conduct frequent kitchen walk-throughs coaching associates to maintain quality and detail
- Assist catering department with special menus and client meetings
- Oversee ongoing training programs for new and existing staff
