Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 6 years experience in culinary or food and beverage industry
- OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- minimum 4 years experience in culinary or related professional area
- strong leadership skills
- effective communication abilities
- knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards
- proficient in budget management
- ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with six years of experience in culinary or related food and beverage area
- or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with four years of related experience
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- proficiency in budgeting and cost control
- skill in menu development and food presentation
- ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest issues
- experience in staff training and performance management
Job Duties
- Leads kitchen management team
- provides direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
- supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
- develops and implements purchasing and receiving procedures
- monitors food quality and sanitation standards
- manages department controllable expenses including food cost and supplies
- provides coaching and mentoring to kitchen staff
- develops and maintains culinary goals and standards
- responds to guest feedback and complaints to ensure exceptional service
- administers performance appraisal processes for direct reports
- trains kitchen associates on cooking techniques and presentation
- ensures compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
