Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years culinary experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Culinary arts degree or relevant certification preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Must be physically able to perform kitchen duties
Job Qualifications
- Culinary arts degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as an executive chef or similar leadership role in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Creative menu planning and development experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Job Duties
- Develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to Andaz brand standards
- Plan, coordinate and implement special events and holiday functions
- Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
- Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis ensuring financial performance and control
- Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
- Organize and facilitate departmental meetings, training and goals setting
