Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years culinary experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Culinary arts degree or relevant certification preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Must be physically able to perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary arts degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as an executive chef or similar leadership role in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creative menu planning and development experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to Andaz brand standards
  • Plan, coordinate and implement special events and holiday functions
  • Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
  • Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
  • Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis ensuring financial performance and control
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
  • Organize and facilitate departmental meetings, training and goals setting
