Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of senior culinary experience in leadership roles
- Formal culinary training or apprenticeship preferred
- Safe food handling certification
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage, train and motivate diverse kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
- Experience with cost control and inventory management
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role such as Executive Chef or Head Chef
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, quality standards, cost controls, inventory management and menu development
- Strong leadership skills including team management, training and motivation
- High school diploma or equivalent with formal culinary training or apprenticeship preferred
- Safe food handling certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- Detail-oriented with ability to interpret safety rules and operational procedures
Job Duties
- Lead culinary excellence by ensuring food preparation, handling and storage meet health regulations and hotel standards
- Master the menu with complete knowledge of all items, ingredients, pricing and beverage offerings
- Develop and mentor kitchen team establishing culinary standards and safety procedures
- Collaborate on financial leadership with focus on cost control and profitability
- Manage hiring, training, scheduling and performance management for kitchen staff
- Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high culinary standards and addressing feedback
- Oversee kitchen operations including food ordering, inventory management and quality assurance
