Job Requirements
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Executive Chef experience preferred
- Background in elevated Japanese cuisine
- Commitment to servant leadership
- Hands-on working style, especially during prep and service
- Experience managing restaurant financials, including food costs and labor
- Ability to work 50 to 55 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years experience managing the line for high-volume restaurants in an upscale and food-focused environment
- Preferred 2 or more years experience as an Executive Chef with a background in elevated Japanese cuisine
- Proven leadership skills with a servant leadership mindset
- Strong financial acumen including managing food costs and labor
- Ability to inspire and develop a culinary team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for engaging with the local community through food
Job Duties
- Create experiences by cultivating hospitality and leading a team to craft dishes that showcase our cuisine
- Inspire your team by fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation
- Provide hands-on leadership with commitment to supporting your team especially during peak times
- Oversee the business by collaborating with the General Manager and leaders from the Home Office to maximize kitchen operations
- Ensure quality control, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety standards
- Manage labor, budgets, forecasts, and ensure the bottom line meets pre-determined expectations
- Resolve problems effectively and maintain clear communication to get the job done
