The position of Executive Chef at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill represents a remarkable opportunity for a culinary leader to helm all back-of-house operations and uphold the venue's high standards of food quality and service. This role demands excellence in kitchen leadership, operational management, and culinary innovation, ensuring that every guest enjoys exceptional food and hospitality. The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing preparation, food safety and sanitation, cost management, team development, and collaboration with front-of-house and beverage teams to deliver a seamless dining experience. The role goes beyond cooking to include strategic elements such as menu development, staffing, training, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The Executive Chef must inspire and lead the kitchen team, manage budgets and inventory, and ensure that all culinary activities align with the Wolfgang Puck brand's reputation for quality and innovation. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods up to 8 hours and lift move up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work in fluctuating temperatures including hot kitchens and cold storage
  • must be able to bend reach crouch and work near mechanical equipment
  • must be flexible to work nights weekends holidays and long shifts as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high-volume upscale operation
  • culinary degree or formal culinary training preferred
  • proven success in leading BOH teams and managing kitchen financials
  • strong technical expertise in all culinary areas including butchery garde manger and pastry
  • excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment knife handling and food safety procedures
  • strong interpersonal leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • effective communicator with excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • proficient with kitchen management software inventory systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations including prep and service food quality and sanitation standards
  • collaborate with FOH and beverage teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
  • control food and labor costs through effective scheduling budgeting inventory and vendor management
  • develop and implement seasonal menus production strategies and plating standards in alignment with the Wolfgang Puck brand
  • oversee the training coaching scheduling and performance management of kitchen staff foster a culture of growth accountability and excellence
  • ensure compliance with all federal state and local health and safety laws maintain staff certifications and sanitation protocols
  • provide hands-on support during service assisting in food preparation final plating and guest interaction
