The Executive Chef role at Magnolia Creek Golf Club is a prestigious and pivotal position within the leadership team, responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all kitchen operations. The Executive Chef is charged with creating and delivering high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective culinary experiences that meet the distinguished standards upheld by Invited. This role involves the meticulous planning of diverse menus tailored to guest preferences, marketing dynamics, and event requirements, assuring that every dish served emanates culinary excellence and consistency. The Executive Chef oversees food preparation, procuring ingredients and kitchen equipment, and supervising the kitchen staff, including front-of-house personnel and indirectly, service and banquet staff.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Executive Chef leads by example, managing a motivated and well-trained team while concurrently handling inventory management, food production, and cost controls to ensure profitability and operational success. This position requires a careful balance of creativity, leadership, and business acumen, as the Executive Chef works closely with the Food and Beverage Director and Event Sales Director to coordinate banquet and event cooking arrangements, ensuring seamless service delivery. Furthermore, the Executive Chef is responsible for maintaining adherence to stringent health, safety, and licensing regulations while fostering a safe and professional work environment for all kitchen employees.
Beyond culinary expertise, this role emphasizes engagement with club members through daily interactions, soliciting feedback, and promoting the club’s culinary offerings within the community. The Executive Chef also plays a critical role in recruitment, training, and career development for kitchen personnel, cultivating an atmosphere that encourages continual improvement and recognition. Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
- Cable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity
