The Executive Chef role at Citizens Care is a pivotal position within SodexoSenior Living's culinary operations, designed for a professional chef eager to advance their career in a meaningful healthcare market. Typical shifts start at 10:00 am and end at 6:30 pm, with some variability including every other weekend coverage to maintain consistent culinary operations.
The Executive Chef will oversee various facets of kitchen management, including food procurement, quality assurance, and safety compliance. Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants fast food vending catering services institutional services mall food courts
- Strong culinary background with prior healthcare experience
- Proven ability to lead develop and train a culinary team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Working knowledge of HACCP and experience with health and safety audits

Job Duties
- Lead and mentor a team of 13 hourly employees including cooks and frontline kitchen staff

- Implement and standardize culinary systems and procedures including catering garnishing panning charts production puree standardization FMS sheets inventory control HACCP cleaning schedules staffing plans food presentation and kitchen safety cleanliness
- Train mentor and develop the culinary team through a hands-on leadership approach
