The Executive Chef III position, based in Salt Lake City, UT, at a pay grade 12, offers a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan, and paid time off. Reporting directly to the Executive Catering Chef, this role is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations within the catering division, ensuring meal preparations adhere strictly to corporate programs and regulatory guidelines.

In this leadership role, the Executive Chef III will plan and modify menus according to established standards to meet diverse dietary needs and event requirements. They will train kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safe handling practices, equipment operation, and sanitation protocols, ensuring compliance with both company and health department standards. Maintaining inventory control is critical, and this role requires diligent management of food and non-food supplies to optimize costs while guaranteeing ingredient availability. Additionally, the Executive Chef III will establish and uphold rigorous cleaning and maintenance schedules for all kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • three to five years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
