With a strong focus on employee growth and development, Aramark is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment where individuals can thrive. As a company, Aramark offers comprehensive employee benefits, fosters professional growth, and promotes diversity and equal opportunity in the workplace.
The EVS (Environmental Services) Worker role at Aramark focuses on maintaining and cleaning assigned areas to meet stringent client, customer, and patient satisfaction standards. This position plays a crucial part in supporting healthcare or facility operations by ensuring environments remain safe, sanitary, and presentable. The EVS Worker operates under established guidelines including OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations to provide a clean and secure work environment. This role is a daytime shift position with a schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., five days a week, which includes scheduled weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Compensation is set at an hourly rate of $18.98, providing a fair and competitive wage.
Key responsibilities for this role include cleaning and sanitizing patient or resident rooms—which encompasses vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making and stripping, and handling medical and general waste disposal. Additionally, the EVS Worker cleans restrooms thoroughly using proper infection control procedures and manages housekeeping equipment with accuracy. The role demands attention to detail in following client-specific cleaning standards and safety protocols, maintaining the security of the facility, and ensuring friendly interaction with clients, guests, and colleagues. Adaptability and a positive customer service attitude are essential traits for success in this role.
Aramark also emphasizes that this position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. The use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to comply with safety standards. Successful EVS Workers will be those who are able to seamlessly handle these demands while maintaining efficiency and adherence to company protocols. Aramark's clear commitment to employee welfare is reflected in their detailed benefit plans, which include medical, dental, vision, and work/life resources, alongside 401(k) retirement savings options and paid time off including parental leave and disability coverage.
In summary, Aramark offers a compelling opportunity for individuals seeking meaningful work in environmental services within a large, stable, and socially responsible company.
