The Maintenance Technician role at Bally's Black Hawk is an entry-level position designed for individuals interested in learning and developing skills in facility maintenance and repair. This role involves performing unskilled or semi-skilled routine manual labor focused on upkeep and cleanliness of various parts of the Black Hawk facilities. Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Technician will receive detailed instructions to safely and effectively complete assigned maintenance tasks, contributing to the overall functionality and aesthetics of the property. This role is crucial in supporting the broader housekeeping and operations teams to sustain a high standard of appearance and ensure a positive environment for both guests and employees.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for tasks such as cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, elevator buttons, wall trim, and various other surfaces throughout the property. The role also includes sweeping, vacuuming floors, dusting furniture and equipment, polishing metalwork, washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, and windows, as well as disposing of trash and replenishing bathroom supplies. The technician will sometimes be called upon to handle bio-hazard material by using appropriate kits and will assist guests with any questions or requests courteously. The position demands maintaining open communication channels with supervisors and management regarding housekeeping and guest service issues. Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions with team members, guests, and vendors is essential, along with the ability to accept constructive feedback professionally.

Job Duties

  • Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, elevator buttons, and wall/building trim
  • Cleans hallways, lounge areas, restrooms, elevators, stairways and locker rooms
  • Sweeps and vacuums floors
  • Dusts furniture and equipment
  • Polishes metalwork
  • Washes walls, ceilings and woodwork
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills
  • Transports trash to proper disposal areas
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies
  • Uses bio-hazard kits when appropriate
  • Assists guests with any questions they may have or requests
  • Maintain an open line of communication with supervisors and managers concerning all housekeeping and guest service-related issues
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow team members, guests and vendors
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner
