Job Description
Tilray Brands, Inc. (Nasdaq: TLRY; TSX: TLRY) is a leading global lifestyle and consumer packaged goods company with operations spanning Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, and Latin America. As a transformative force operating at the intersection of cannabis, beverage, wellness, and entertainment sectors, Tilray is committed to elevating lives by creating moments of connection. The company is driven by a mission to become a premier lifestyle brand house, offering innovative products that inspire joy, promote wellness, and deliver memorable experiences. Supporting over 40 brands in more than 20 countries, Tilray's diverse portfolio includes comprehensive cannabis products, hemp-based foods, and craft beverages, positioning the company as an industry leader with a broad global footprint.
The Events Manager position at Tilray Brands is a critical role focused primarily on supporting the Breckenridge Brewery brand within the company’s High Plains portfolio. This full-time role comes with a competitive annual base salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000, plus a 15% discretionary bonus, reflecting Tilray's commitment to rewarding its talented team members. Reporting directly within the High Plains Brand Marketing and Pub teams, the Events Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and executing the annual events strategy tailored to Breckenridge Brewery’s brand objectives and strategic priorities. This includes overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution, from initial strategic recommendations and brainstorming sessions to talent booking, equipment rental, legal compliance, on-site management, and post-event evaluations.
Beyond managing Breckenridge Brewery’s extensive calendar of events, sponsorships, and partnerships, the Events Manager also plays an essential role in supporting events and activations across other priority brands under the High Plains umbrella, including Pub Beer, 10 Barrel, Widmer Brothers, and Hop Valley. This complexity requires the ability to juggle a dynamic and overlapping events calendar, prioritizing resources and coordinating numerous moving parts efficiently and effectively.
The role demands strong collaboration across various internal departments such as Brand Marketing, Creative, Sales, and Pub teams to ensure consistent communication and alignment with brand guidelines. Additionally, the Events Manager will maintain and foster relationships with external partners, vendors, sponsors, and community organizations. Duties include coordinating charitable and community event partnerships, managing Brand Ambassadors or agency partners on event staffing and scheduling, and driving engaging social media content focused on community, activation, and real-time brand storytelling.
Travel is a significant component of this role, with frequent trips throughout Colorado and occasional travel to other key markets within the United States, averaging approximately two weeks per month. The physical demands of the position require the ability to perform a range of tasks such as lifting kegs and event materials, as well as the endurance to stand, walk, and manage long working hours onsite during events.
Ideal candidates possess extensive knowledge of the beer industry, including draft beer systems and supplier landscapes, along with proven leadership skills and a knack for problem-solving in fast-paced, evolving environments. Experience working within regulatory frameworks for events and exceptional organizational capabilities are vital. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, or related fields coupled with over five years of event marketing experience, preferably within consumer-packaged goods or the alcohol industry, is highly desirable.
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a globally recognized brand at the forefront of lifestyle and consumer goods innovation. Tilray fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace, committed to employment equity, and accommodates applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process. The company emphasizes integrity in its hiring practices and strongly discourages unsolicited recruitment activities from agencies without formal agreements.
