Job Description
Vaezr Studio, a dynamic division of Zirous, specializes in transforming live and virtual events into immersive and high-impact experiences that foster connection and drive business success. The company combines advanced technical show designs, including custom hardware, audio-visual solutions, lighting, and stage management, with end-to-end logistics and strategic storytelling. This integration allows Vaezr Studio to deliver corporate summits, brand activations, and large-scale productions that leave lasting impressions and are executed with impeccable precision. As part of Zirous, a well-respected organization known for innovation and excellence, Vaezr Studio thrives in providing cutting-edge event experiences that blend creativity with technical expertise.
We are currently searching for an experienced Events Manager to join our team in a newly created hybrid role that bridges project management, account management, and on-site client liaison functions. This position is essential for ensuring seamless communication and operational flow during events, allowing our technical directors to focus entirely on show design, hardware management, and subcontractor oversight without on-site distractions. The Events Manager will serve as the primary client-facing contact onsite, managing client communications, procurement processes, estimation and financial reviews, as well as operational logistics. This pivotal role supports task and project management by coordinating project workflows, overseeing resource management, and assisting with profitability monitoring by reducing dependence on external subcontractors.
In addition to managing procurement and recruitment of event subcontractors and freelancers using the company’s extensive network, the Events Manager will assist in contract coordination, including generating and executing contracts and statements of work. The role also supports business development efforts by collaborating with the sales team in outreach activities and community relationship building to grow existing accounts and create new revenue opportunities. During downtime at events, the manager will contribute to marketing efforts by capturing photos and videos for promotional use.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule combining in-office work at our Urbandale, Iowa location with remote work opportunities. Due to the nature of events and client needs, the work location and schedules may vary, including the requirement for weekend work, extended shifts, and occasional travel out of state for long durations. Local candidates in the Des Moines metro area will be given hiring preference.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in full-cycle corporate event management, exceptional interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational ability, and adaptability to a dynamic work environment. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and comfort managing client expectations in fast-paced settings are essential. This role promises a high-visibility platform with growth potential and the opportunity to work alongside highly talented professionals in a collaborative, supportive, and fun environment.
Joining Vaezr Studio means becoming part of a company culture that values innovation, continuous learning, and employee recognition. We offer competitive compensation, including base salary and commissions, along with many valuable benefits such as catered lunches, snacks, beverages, social hours, an on-site gym and shower facilities, various small group activities, a flexible work schedule, casual dress code, and numerous professional development opportunities. Our commitment to employee well-being and growth creates an engaging workplace where your contributions are acknowledged and celebrated.
